You are the expert on you, and I am the guide to help you. My methodology is centered primarily around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is proven to be extremely effective, particularly with stress and negative thinking patterns. I utilize a strength-based and solution-focused approach, as our work together will involve working towards creating positive and lasting change. I find it helpful to use humor when appropriate and as emotionally challenging as therapy can be, my hope is that you will enjoy the process.

When therapeutically appropriate, I find value in developing "homework assignments" with clients based on their unique wellness goals. Clients often find it to be very useful in holding themselves accountable knowing that I will be checking in and reviewing the work that they have done, and practicing their skills independently.

        

Ella received her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and has over 10 years of experience. Ella is particularly skilled and interested in working with young women facing life transitions, anxiety, and relationship challenges. Ella holds her clinical license in Massachusetts and is able to treat those living in Massachusetts.

PROVEN TO BE JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS IN-PERSON, IF NOT MORE

Research shows that virtual psychotherapy provides the same benefits as in-person meetings. You may also feel more comfortable sharing with your therapist. It can feel less intimidating to discuss personal matters when not directly face-to-face, and in your preferred setting with personal comfort items or family/friends nearby.

MORE LIKELY TO GET THE SUPPORT YOU NEED

Without the stress and time of commuting, virtual pychotherapy is much more convenient and accessible. Schedule your appointment before/after work, during your lunch hour, or in the evenings when you can relax with a cup of tea and your favorite blanket. Less missed appointments mean more time to focus on you.

DO YOU OFFER EVENING AND WEEKEND AVAILABILITY?

Yes! We will work together to find a day and time that fits your schedule.

WHAT IS YOUR RATE? DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

My rate is $175 per session. I offer a sliding scale to those who may qualify. I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and will also provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance companies if you have out-of-network benefits. Paying is seamless, secure, and virtual.

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE? HOW OFTEN WOULD WE MEET?

Sessions are typically between 45-60 minutes. I usually recommend we begin our work with weekly appointments, and then depending on progress, taper off to every other week. Some clients prefer to begin with every other week due to their schedules.
